Eynesbury Winter Festival makes a triumphant return

Resimax Group is proud to announce the return of the Eynesbury Winter Festival, which will transform the town’s historic Eynesbury Homestead into a winter wonderland for a two-week festival of school holiday events. From 27 June to 14 July 2024, an always-on ice-skating rink, and carnival zone, plus plenty of family-friendly activities will be offered, including an indoor soft play area for toddlers.

The annual Eynesbury Winter Festival is part of Resimax Group’s unwavering commitment to fostering friendly, vibrant communities that residents feel proud to call home. Resimax Group’s Founder and Managing Director, Ozzie Kheir, said the festival has continued to grow each year, welcoming people from across Victoria to experience the town.

“The Eynesbury Winter Festival is an opportunity for us to share Eynesbury’s unique nature with people across Melbourne and celebrate the growing community we have helped to build here.

“As a business, we are committed to activating our communities, including Eynesbury, and creating new and exciting experiences for both residents and visitors,” Kheir said.

Kicking off the festival’s first weekend will be the annual Winter Solstice celebration on Saturday 29 June, headlined by Multi-Platinum and ARIA-nominated artist and Eynesbury resident, Lenny Pearce. The evening will also include a fireworks display, fire performers, a giant bonfire, food trucks, and stilt walkers, alongside the ice rink and carnival rides.

“I’m really excited to be headlining the Eynesbury Winter Festival, particularly because it’s so close to home and therefore, close to my heart.

“I create a lot of my music right here at home in Eynesbury, and there’s something so unique and special about launching my new album where it all began. I’m looking forward to sharing great tunes with my community at the festival,” said Lenny.

Australian former pole vaulter and Olympic gold medallist, Steve Hooker, will also join the Eynesbury Winter Festival lineup, hosting the Kids Fun Day on Saturday 6 July.

“It’s an honour to host the Kids Fun Day in the lead-up to my commentating duties for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. Encouraging our kids to get outside and be active – even when it’s a little chilly – is so important to me,” said Steve.

More than 30 family-friendly activities, including Giant Connect 4, the Egg and Spoon Race, Giant Jenga, and “Create Your Own Olympic Torch” will be offered to children of all ages to participate in. Players from the Western United Football Club are also getting amongst the action as hosts of the Penalty Shootout and other activities from 12pm.

On Saturday 13 July, the closing weekend of festivities, the Winter Night Market will include an array of market stalls and food trucks, live music from the Nashville Tribute Band and a fireworks display for the whole family to enjoy.
